Questions

Which URL shapes does it accept?

watch?v=, youtu.be, /shorts/, /embed/, /live/, /v/, and a bare 11-character ID — the same forms the TranscriptLab API accepts.

What about links with playlists or tracking parameters?

They are ignored — the extractor keeps only the 11-character video ID. Paste the messy share-sheet link; cleaning it is the point.

Can it pull a channel ID from a video link?

No — the video URL does not carry the channel ID. This tool extracts the video ID and builds the canonical link and thumbnail URL from it.
