Frame Rate Converter
Runtime and audio pitch change when you conform footage to a different frame rate.
Conformed result
How it's computed: a conform keeps the frame count and changes only playback speed, so new runtime = old runtime × source fps ÷ target fps. Pitch shift = 12 × log₂(source ÷ target) semitones.

Questions
What happens when 24 fps footage goes into a 30 fps timeline?
A straight conform plays it 25% faster — runtime shrinks and audio pitch rises about a minor third. Editing software usually re-times or blends frames instead; this calculator shows the conform case.
Does conforming change the audio too?
Yes — a straight conform speeds or slows audio with the picture, and pitch moves with speed. The calculator reports the pitch change alongside the runtime change.
When is a straight conform the right tool?
When matching footage to a delivery spec — say PAL 25 fps slowed to 24 for a film-out. To keep real time, frame blending or optical flow is the better tool.
