Questions

What CTR is normal on YouTube?

YouTube says most channels sit between 2% and 10%. What matters is your own trend: a CTR that falls as impressions grow is normal, a CTR that collapses is a packaging problem.

Where do I find my impressions count?

YouTube Studio → Analytics → Reach → Impressions. Pair impressions and views for the same video and the calculator gives the CTR.

Do external embeds count as impressions?

No — impressions only count when YouTube serves the thumbnail on a surface it controls: browse, suggested, and search. Traffic from external sites and embeds is not counted.
